Judge Louis Foy and Sarah Seaton – Onslow County NC Courts

Judge Louis FoyJudge Louis Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton are both District Court Judges in Onslow County North Carolina. NC Fathers is an organization of Non-Custodial families in Onslow County NC seeking to reform the NC Family Courts to be less divisive and more supportive of equal shared parenting and access by both parents. NC Fathers is asking that Non-Custodial families contact us and let us know of their experiences in Judge Foy’s or Judge Seaton’s court. Additionally, we want to remind Onslow County NC Non-Custodial families that given the divorce rate, or data suggests that Non-Custodial Fathers in Onslow County equal around 42% of the voting population and when you add in just one extended family who also get hurt in the family court system who have an overwhelming and significant population that can execute change in one election cycle. Judge Sarah Seaton, Judge Louis Foy and the Onslow County NC District Courts

It is important that Judge Sarah Seaton and Judge Louis Foy understand how Onslow County NC Non-Custodial families see the District and Family Courts in this county. First, we understand that the NC Family Courts have no presumption for who gets custody of children, yet statistics still show that mothers get custody of children 85% of the time. This sounds like presumption to us. Second, do Judges in Onslow County still allow custodial mothers to move children hundreds of miles away from Fathers and paternal families who want greater access to their children? Why? Third, we are asking Judge Foy and Judge Seaton if Onslow County Fathers still get the default 4-5 days a month visitation with their children when they and their families ask for more? For Non-Custodial families who have a history in the Onslow County NC District and Family Courts, does Judge Foy and Judge Seaton allow hopeful Custodial mothers to bring excessive dirt on probable Non-Custodial fathers, but look down on Fathers when they attempt to bring out a shady past on the hopeful Custodial Mother? Lastly, we are asking Judge Foy and Judge Seaton if it is their experience that two parents in the current divisive system fight for 18 years and spend tens of thousands of dollars in retainer fees, and would this money be better spent on a less divisive system that rewards parents for working together for the betterment of children?

Judge Sarah Seaton, Judge Louis Foy and Onslow County NC Domestic Violence

For Judge Sarah Seaton and Judge Louis Foy, many believe that the NC Domestic Violence Coalition has become an industry that relies on state and federal funding to keep services, programs, employees, supplies, etc… running. To use, this sounds like Domestic Violence groups NEEDS Domestic Offenders to keep their services running. Additionally, again for Judge Foy and Judge Seaton, many in Onslow County think that the Domestic Violence Coalition is focused on MALE on FEMALE violence only, and completely deny a FEMALE on MALE and FEMALE on FEMALE Domestic Violence problem. If this is true, does the Domestic Violence Coalition NEED for MALES to be Domestic Violence offenders to fund county domestic violence services.

While on the topic of Domestic Violence, does Judge Louis Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton acknowledge that there is a growing FALSE Domestic Violence Allegation culture going on where again hopeful custodial mothers use the hot button social issue of Domestic Violence to get favor in divorce, child custody matters, county resources, and attention?

Lastly, does Judge Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton hand out Domestic Violence restraining orders like candy for alleged MALE on FEMALE violence that immediately alienates fathers and paternal family members from their kids for up to a year, but roll their eyes when a issue of FEMALE on MALE DV issue arises? If so, is this tied to the MALE on FEMALE DV funding that keeps the Onslow County Social Services agency funded? Or is it primarily a politically correct thing to do?

Judge Sarah Seaton, Judge Louis Foy and Onslow County NC Child Support Enforcement

Again, like Domestic Violence, we are asking Judge Louis Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton if THIS FEDERAL LEGISLATION and THIS FEDERAL LEGISLATION which gives the State of NC $1 in profit for every dollar collected in child support enforcement money is related to Onslow County NC Fathers and Paternal Family Members not seeing their young children as frequently as Custodial Families? For us, this seems like an incentive for scant visitation awards and custodial mothers being allow to move hundreds of miles away so that enforcement collection can be maximized, which also increases funding for the Onslow County Department of Social Services Low Assistance Programs. More on this HERE. What are your thoughts on this Judge Foy? Judge Seaton?

While on Money and Onslow County NC Child Support Enforcement, we wonder how much Judge Louis Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton think this SOFTWARE PROGRAM is going to be needed, again from Federal Title IV-D funds ($1 profit for every dollar collected in child support) to develop, install, implement, and train enforcement to use? We suspect a BUNCH of money. But we also wonder why the State of NC is going to provide potentially millions of dollars for a software system instead of investing it in a program like a EQUAL shared parenting program that teaches, encourages, and rewards two parents for getting along for their kids? Certainly Judge Foy and Judge Seaton will agree that having two equal parents and two equal extended families brings more NATURAL RESOURCES for children than any amount of good a federal agency can bring for them?

We are asking Judge Louis Foy and Judge Sarah Seaton why custodial mothers get FREE attorneys from enforcement funds ($1 profit for every dollar collected in child support) while Non-Custodial families have to secure private attorneys at $5000 per incident?

And lastly, we are asking Judge Foy and Judge Seaton why when custodial mothers get into financial trouble they get extensive federal and state housing, medical, educational, financial, counseling help, tax credits, etc…. while Non-Custodial Fathers get to go see Sheriff Ed Brown when they have financial difficulties?

  2. We have been in front of Judge Seaton on numerous occasions. She dismissed a restraining order that my husbands ex filed against him. She also dismissed a restraining order that the ex filed against my mother in law. She also informed my husbands ex that the children are to only reside in Onslow County. We would feel very comfortable having Judge Seaton as our Judge in any future court battles because we believe she is fair.
