Judge Lisa Menefee, Judge Denise Hartsfield, and the Forsyth County NC District and Family Court
Before we begin our article on Judge Lisa Menefee and Judge Denise Hartsfield, we ask that our readers click on the red and blue graphic below to get an exhaustive list of issues we think exists in the Forsyth County NC District and Family Courts that keep Winston-Salem NC non-custodial fathers, paternal grandmothers, step-mothers, paternal aunts, and other family members separated from their minor children.
Why are Judge Menefee and Judge Hartsfield not supporting a system like equal shared parenting for Forsyth County NC children and parents? If you look at the graphic above, you will see a significant group of special interest lawyers, social services lobby, politically motivated elected officials, and government contractors who make a LOT of money off mom and dads fighting for 18 years, and from child support enforcement. If equal shared parenting was presumption in the Forsyth County NC Family Courts, and there was nothing to win by fighting, then lawyers would not be able to charge $5000 retainers every few years, social services would lose funding, and government contractors would see less funding for their special projects.
Will Judge Lisa Menefee and Judge Denise Hartsfield tell Forsyth County NC Non-Custodial families that many groups NEED you to stay non-custodial and having decreased visitation with your children so that money can flow? If not, will Winston-Salem NC non-custodial family voters ask Legislators and Judges to change this system NOW or find new jobs?
Our second question to Judge Lisa Menefee, Judge Denise Hartsfield, or any Judge in the Forsyth County NC District Court is which “system” do you think provides more financial, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and nurturing for Forsyth County NC children: 1) Big Government Child Support Enforcement that never meets kids or 2) Two equal parents and both paternal/maternal extended families? OK, so why is so much emphasis placed on enforcement, while non-custodial families are marginalized to 5 day a month visitor families?
Do Judge Lisa Menefee and Judge Denise Hartsfield propagate the “Deadbeat Dad” and “Absent Father” social engineering that so many Judges in NC do, but then increase that absenteeism by only allowing 4-5 days a month visitation and by allowing custodial mothers to move kids hundreds of miles away from non-custodial families?
Judge Menefee and Judge Hartsfield, why are paternal grandmothers, and step-mothers visiting their sons/husbands in prison when they cannot make financial ends meet in this economy, but custodial mothers are given federal earned income tax credits, housing assistance, educational assistance, financial assistance, and medical assistance to make financial ends meet? Can any Judge in the Forsyth County NC Family Courts address this for our 1800 daily readers?
