What about Mothers Rights?
What about the childrens rights?
![]()
Roughly half of custodial mothers today have male children who will one day be pushed to the margins of their kids lives if they experience a divorce and have children. Where do you think these non-custodial grandmothers (who will also be marginalized as well) will stand then? With Equally Shared Parenting?

We think Mothers Rights and Fathers Rights take a backseat to what is best for the children. Studies Show Children do not love their mothers any more than their fathers. Studies show children of Divorce, now as adults wished that they saw both parents equally.
I think MANY of you will be shocked to learn that many in our group ARE Mothers. See this is NOT a male vs. female issue.
There are LOTS of Paternal Women that this issue affects.
- Paternal Grandmothers
- Paternal Great Grandmothers
- Paternal Aunts
- Paternal Cousins
- Paternal Sisters
- Step-Mothers
No person in our group believes that Fathers should have custody over Mothers. Nobody in our group is Anti-Woman. We are Pro-Children. And to prove it, for those mothers that visit this site and curse us, and who have male children, later in life when he becomes a father and you watch him in despair we will be there for him. And, for you as well since your involvement in your grandchild’s life will be much different that the maternal grandmother. Funny how that works huh?

My son in law is truly a person in a long line of abuse his father abused him and his father before him, had we only known. That does not make him ignorant of how the court system works. This has been a long drawn out horror story with two beautiful young girls in the middle. My husband is dying from cancer. If not for us the girls and my daughter would be on the streets. You are defending domestic violence and this man is in the mix. Liar and nothing is to low for him to do. My grand daughters are kept constantly upset and devastated. Yet the court system is constantly is in his favor he minipulates it., from child support to harassment.
And I suppose you think that all men are like your son in law and must be denied access to their children? And you apparently have not done your research on the latest statistics. Prior to 2010 law enforcement and the “experts” were only counting male on female violence is statistics. Since 2010, they are counting ALL cases and the new stats show that women hit and use physical altercation on the same leve as men. And, if female/female partnerships, the act of domestic violence is the same as heterosexual violence. Try not to take your case and cast your concern onto all men.
I left the real statistics here which were clearly not as you have posted. Why did you take them down? This site is caustic , biased and you are showing the colors of an angry man. I have no idea what has happened in the personal life of a few of you to make you think that violence of any sort towards any person, woman, child or a man is acceptable. I am repulsed and disgusted you are no one I would want in my home you appear to be simmering just below the surface and thank God for every judge who does you. I wish that they all would unfortunately they do not. AND PRAISE GOD FOR NC JUDGES
Hi Karen,
First, the owner of this site is a paternally related female, and the author of this post is a paternal grandmother. Second, look at your post, we are caustic, angry, and biased?
Karen, real women find value in their kids fathers and do not use the kids as a means to get into the social services system, and for control. Seek psychological help Karen
, Karen, get educated.
Praise NC judges? Boy, you really are warped!
I am educated, this too deserves freedom of speech, what many people have died to give you the right too. I do wish you would not tamper with the facts, that is called messing with the truth. So many women resent child support that husbands and boy friends have to or should pay, I am not the least surprised the site is owned by a woman.
Whats facts are we tampering with Karen?
In my opinion, I feel that the laws of NC are unjust when it comes to child support or any type of help for Custodial parents/mothers. You have women in the state of NC who go out and obtain very good paying jobs, can’t get food stamps because their pay is a couple of dollars over the limit, can’t get any other type of assistance because they have a gross of 20 cent over the amont allowed. Then you have some noncustodial fathers ride around in nice cars with Rims and tent, dress nice, clubbing every other weekend, but don’t and will not go get a 9-5, but according to NC child support enforcement which is primarily based on how much each parent makes, the mother with the good paying job making way more than the noncustodial father, may only be allowed to get $50.00 a month in child support, if that. Which is only gas money to take your child to the doctor or a specialist, or better yet, gas money to get to court on the day of your child support hearing. I feel that as a custodial mom, if I can get out in the workforce, and provide for my children health insurance, dental insurance, lunch money, clothes, food, lights, water, and a roof over their heads then non-custodial parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, step-parents etc, can do the same and share in all the responsibility of what it really takes to raise a child, since the state of NC feels like they should have the same rights as custodial parents.
This is hilarious. In your entire comment, you spoke nothing about your child’s needs, only your child support. So you want to go out and get a good job AND have the government take care of you? You REALLY believe that ALL NC Fathers are out at clubs riding around on their rims and mothers are at home starving? Do I really need to post no less than 70 or so recent cases where mothers hurt or killed their kids? Stop your gender BS and stop relying on the government to take care of you. Your child is not a tool to get child support and government assistance.
Amen! I couldn’t have said it better.
