Judge Braddy must be told that assigning non-custodial family members as visitors who only need 4 days visitation with their children is counter-productive for children because we feel that when Pitt County NC children have two equal parents and two equal extended families, this brings more resources, opportunities, and support than any enforcement program will ever hope to achieve.

Judge George Galen Braddy, and all Judges at the Pitt County NC Family and District Courts must stop generating funding for Pitt County Department of Social Services on the back of the non-custodial family/child relationship, as well as providing funding for government contractors who want Title IV-D money. We are asking Judge Braddy to consider putting this money into a program that teaches two parents the importance of working together, then developing a parenting plan that includes both parents, and encouraging and rewarding BOTH parents for following this plan. As it stands now, Judges in the Pitt County Courts decides custody and extremely unequal visitation awards on who has the most dirt on the other parent. This concept and practice commits two parents to 18 years of fighting which is destroying NC children.
