Brunswick County Department of Social Services and Non-Custodial Families

If you are a Brunswick County NC non-custodial family member and you have a significant history with the Brunswick County Department of Social Services and they acted illegally or some other misconduct, then we sincerely ask you to join our MAILING LIST.

NC Fathers wants to remind non-custodial families of their significant and overwhelming numbers as voters. No Legislator, Judge, or Administrator/Staff at a NC County Social Services Agency can not deal with millions of voters screaming change, or reform. And quite frankly, there are well organized and entrenched lobby groups lined up to talk with Judges, Legislators, and Social Services groups who make LOTS of money off the divisive NC Family Courts and Social Services agencies.

Send these Judges, Legislators, and the Brunswick County Department of Social Services the message that your done being treated like a second class Brunswick County NC family who only deserves to have 4 days visitation with their children, and having an enforcement agency define your level of parenting.

The Brunswick County Department of Social Services offers many domestic violence programs and services that needs funding to continue. In essence, for these programs to continue getting the level of money that keeps people employed, etc… there needs to be domestic offenders that social services can identify. If domestic violence statistics were to drop, or if the NC Domestic Violence commission were to acknowledge female on male abuse, or female on female abuse in domestic partnership, then funding would have to be spread out to new groups. Right now, domestic violence groups in NC  and Brunswick County NC are only focused on male on female violence. And, when you have an agency like the Brunswick County Department of Social Services that NEEDS money and has immunity, we believe many non-custodial fathers and families are a target.

Remember, NC County Social Services agencies needs TONS of new money that is dwindling through Medicaid and Welfare abuse, our concern is that social services in Brunswick County NC wrongly puts “domestic offender” on non-custodial fathers so that they lose visitation/custody and have to pay greater amounts of child support which brings in more money for social services. Again, please read the Domestic Violence section HERE as it goes into depth.

Like domestic violence, the Brunswick County Department of Social Services needs LOTS of non-custodial fathers who pays LOTS of child support so that they get LOTS more money from Social Security coffers that replenishes money for low income assistance programs at NC County Social Services agencies. If you read the link to our OTHER ARTICLE you read about the Social Security Act and the amounts of money they generate in revenue, and the numbers of government contractors that want Title IV-D money. There is an entire system built around child support enforcement that Brunswick County NC non-custodial families pay for.

But keep in mind, you are not only paying financially, you are paying emotionally and psychologically because the only way that child support payments increase is if non-custodial families are spending less time with their young children.

For NC Fathers, we find it pretty sick that NC Legislators, Judges, and the Brunswick County Department of Social Services is generating revenue from people not having equal access to their children.

Brunswick County Department of Social Services and Immunity

Few Brunswick County NC non-custodial families realize that the Brunswick County Department of Social Services has absolute 100% immunity for any illegal acts they commit while on the job. NC Fathers concern is that when you combine immunity and a need for funding, you open the door for systematic abuse and bias. Especially on those that are targeted as revenue generators. If you are a Brunswick County NC non-custodial family, you likely have experienced overly aggressive investigations by CPS while they seemingly deal very lightly with custodial parents because many times they are the consumers of the low income assistance programs non-custodial families are paying for.

Please… please join our MAILING LIST so that when we have sufficient numbers we can send a very loud and very clear message to these politicians that this practice of the Brunswick County Department of Social Services dealing aggressively with children and non-custodial families for funding purposes is going to stop.
