    • Hi Melissa,
I am assuming that you posted your comment under our article on Judge R Dale Stubbs and Judge Charles Patrick Bullock and that your matter is under the jurisdiction of either the Harnett, Lee, or Johnston Couty courts? The first thing that came to mind in reading your comment, is that your focused on money and someone going to jail. You also have to remember that non-custodial fathers do not have access to work assistance, medical assistance, educational assistance, housing assistance, food stamps, and tax incentives to make financial ends meet. If you didn’t have these benefits, would you think it’s ok to put YOU in jail because you couldn’t support your kids? Clearly not, but your ok with your childs other parent going to jail… not just ok, but it appears you WANT him in jail. It is pretty arrogant that you have tons of assistance programs to back you up, but you want the other parent to suffer consequences becaused they don’t. If you want our opinion, talk to your ex and establish a equal custody arrangement. As you well know, the child support you get is nowhere close to what it cost to raise a child. This father would pay more than his obligated child support in taking care of his kid(s) when he has them equal time. And, this will free up time for your to further your career or educations. Kids need both parents, niot one parent in jail while the other is taken care of by the government.
