Judge Amanda Stevenson, Judge Carolyn Yancey – Granville, Franklin, Vance County NC Court

Judge Amanda Stevenson, Judge Carolyn YanceyBefore we begin our article on Judge Amanda Stevenson and Judge Carolyn Yancey of the Granville, Franklin, and Vance County NC District and Family Court, we ask non-custodial grandmothers, step-mothers, paternal aunts, and fathers to read our article on Judge John Davis before proceeding with this article. As you can see from that article, federal child support enforcement is NOT just about providing financial assistance to children, it is also funding Welfare and Low Income Assistance Programs, and our organizations concern is that the State of NC NEEDS non-custodial fathers to exist so that funding is available for social services. Neither Judge Amanda Stevenson or Judge Carolyn Yancey should be shocked to learn that Granville, Franklin, and Vance County NC non-custodial families will be OUTRAGED to learn that being alienated from their children, not given equal parentage, and access to their children so that Welfare recipients can receive extensive financial, housing, educational, and medical assistance is an issue that these voters will keep in mind at the next election. NC Fathers is an organization of NC non-custodial families who are tired of being marginalized as visitor families who must pay the piper to see their children, and who only need 4 days a month visitation with their children. We ask that you review our GOAL and join our MAILING LIST after extensively sharing this article on Judge Amanda Stevenson and Judge Carolyn Yancey with other NC non-custodial families on social networking sites.

  1. I do believe Judge Bridges is an experienced and fair Judge. Our own personal experience with Judge C. Yancey has been a life changing, unhealthy, and unfair experience. I do not personally believe this Judge has the education, experience, or unbias judgment to serve men, or the average middle class people of her community. I was in her court. My husband was in her court. She never looked at us, did not appear to be listening, working, and literally ignored us when we asked a question or objected. No sign of respect that we are the people too. I watched too many children whisked away from families quickly as she and the county attorney made life long decisions for children, men, and family. Including my own.

I do not believe the same of Judge Bridges. I believe he is a good and decent human being, and can spot malarkey when he sees it. We voted for Judge Bridges. We did not vote for Judge Yancey. Such a shame when we believe our district needs more women and diversity on the bench.

Thank you for allowing us a voice. We were literally ignored a voice in court.

    • J,
Thanks for commenting on our post regarding Judge Carolyn Yancey and Judge Amanda Stevenson. We have been in trouble for going on six decades. It seems we are nothing more than ATM machimes for mothers, a trigger for Title IV-D federal money so that Granville, Franklin, and Vance County can replenish social services money, and a means for mothers to get services. We hope you will join us on Facebook to help build our organization.
