Judge Roy Wijewickrama and Judge Richard Walker should realize now that the regime by which NC LAWYERS use the system to become very rich when two parents are encouraged to fight is hurting children. Cherokee, Swain, and Macon County NC non-custodial fathers, step-mothers, paternal grandmothers, and aunts should recognize that the courts are focused on one parent having decreased visitation so that Welfare and other Low Income Assistance Programs can continue to be funded. In short, OUR GOAL is to remove Judges and Legislators who are fine with you being marginalized as visitor families who have 5 days visitation with your children, you subsidizing Welfare, and going bankrupt in a system that is setup for you to fight for 18 years. Judge Richard Walker, Judge Roy Wijewickrama, and the AOC will tell you that in NC there is no preference for who gets custody of a child, and that the reports of bias are false. However, the AOC and other groups who monitor statistics in Family Courts show that mothers get custody 85% of the time, and fathers get 4-5 days a month visitation. With a number like 85%, there is definitely widespread bias. Is Judge Richard Walker and Judge Roy Wijewickrama prepared to say that of all the cases in the Cherokee, Swain, and Macon County NC courts, 85% of non-custodial families are not considered the “better family” to raise a child?

Judge Roy Wijewickrama, Judge Richard Walker, and other Judges in the Cherokee, Swain, and Macon County District Courts should recognize that county children receive far more support when they have both parents and extended family members than any amount paid to a big government program each month.

NC Fathers wants to know from Judge Walker and Judge Wijewickrama if there is any correlation to low visitation awards so that child support payments can be increased, so that the State of NC (from who you get a paycheck) will have money for social services?
