Richmond County Department of Social Services Abuse and Bias

Richmond County Department of Social ServicesNC Fathers believes that the Richmond County Department of Social Services Director, Supervisors, Staff, and Secretary Albert Delia at DHHS are partially responsible for NC and Richmond County non-custodial families not being able to have equal parentage and access to their children due to the child support enforcement process which is generating money for Welfare and Low Income Assistance programs. Secretary Albert Delia, DHHS staff, and the Richmond County Social Services Director know that the current system where non-custodial parents child support efforts are generating federal Title IV-D money, and that the State of NC is dependent on this money. Our concern is that DHHS and Social Services has more of an incentive to alienate non-custodial FAMILIES from their children, instead of fostering equally shared parenting. NC Fathers is an organization of Richmond County and NC Non-Custodial fathers, step-mothers, paternal grandmothers, and aunts and uncles who are tired of living with visitor roles in their minor kids lives. NC Fathers also wants Secretary Delia and the Richmond County Department of Social Services to know that having two equal parents, and extended families, brings far greater resources and opportunities to NC children that any big government agency ever will.

Richmond County Department of Social Services and Non-Custodial Families

NC Fathers is encouraging the Richmond County Department of Social Services Director, Staff with Child Protective Services, Supervisors, and Richmond County non-custodial families to click on the RED and BLUE graphic below to get a reminder of what policies and procedures at NC Social Services Agencies is asking these families to live with daily. NC Fathers asks that you pay special attention to the links pointing to the Social Security Act, Title IV, Part D, Section 458 which gives back one dollar in federal money to the State of NC for every dollar collected in child support. It is this system that is partially responsible for Social Services and Child Protective Services NEEDING you NOT to have equal parentage and access to your children, and needing you to pay money from afar to enforcement. And, when you consider that the Richmond County Department of Social Services has 100% complete legislative immunity for any abuse, bias, or illegal acts committed by child protective services in particular, there is a wide open door for this agency to hurt children and their non-custodial families over a need for this federal money which keeps jobs, programs, and services running.

If it isn’t bad enough that the Richmond County Department of Social Services uses non-custodial families inability to have equal parentage and access to their children to fund Welfare, NC Fathers also believes that this social services agency has an incentive to see false domestic violence allegations, which are becoming increasingly used as tactical advantage in custody matters, become a statistic that they can use to get more federal money for this social issue. Look, Domestic Violence in Richmond County is a horrible problem, and it is gender neutral. The studies show that women hit men just as frequently, and that women use threats and intimidation just as much as men. But this data does not fit in nicely with Social Services policy of being a service provider for mainly women and children. The last thing NC Department of Social Services agencies want to start doing is building shelters for men, or provide services for men from the federal money they already get. The quickest way to insure that statistics remain high so that more federal dollars filter down to the State of NC is to use child protective services to decrease time spent between non-custodial families and children so that more federal money is received, and the easiest way to do this is to make fathers unfit through coached false domestic violence allegations. NC Fathers believes that there are tens of thousands of non-custodial families in Richmond County NC who have found themselves the victim of a false allegation of domestic violence or child molestation by a custodial parent, and we believe that when Social Services got involved they made matters worse and needed to justify their jobs for the sake of money.

Richmond County Department of Social Services and Non-Custodial Family Dynamics in NC

NC Fathers believes that non-custodial families in NC is one of the largest under-estimated swing votes given that we represent women in paternal families who get equally hurt in the system, and we come from all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Additionally, we come from all socioeconomic and political party affiliation. Nobody, not the Director, Supervisors, or Staff at the  Richmond County Department of Social Services can argue that if non-custodial families in Richmond County ever unite around the issues discussed in this blog, and start affecting elections, then things will change on a dime. No politician, or Judge, will want to face the wrath of roughly just under half of the voting population in NC. And, we think that the historical abuse and bias handed down by the NC Family Courts and Social Services agencies is an issue we can all wrap our heads around. It is time to stop this parental warfare for money. Kids deserve two equal parents, and they need their extended families. If you are tired of being treated like a second class visitor to your children, then we ask that you get involved with our organization.
