Columbus County Department of Social Services and Child Protective Services

NC Fathers believes that every non-custodial father and close family member who has been through a NC Family Court matter, be it custody, child support, or domestic violence allegation, understands that the courts are systematically biased and focused on supporting mothers and children. But have you ever wondered how the Columbus County Department of Social Services is related to this system? By clicking on the RED and BLUE graphic below, you are going to be introduced into a very profitable industry where social services, lawyers, judges, and special interest groups all benefit from you being marginalized as a visitor family, who only deserves 5 days a month visitation, and that is assuming you have the money to pay a big government agency each month.

Columbus County Department of Social Services in NC, Child Support Enforcement, Domestic Violence, and Abuse and Bias on Non-Custodial Families

In the NC Family Courts and Social Services agencies across NC, we often hear about “the child’s best interest”. Yet when you looked at the data by clicking the red and blue graphic above, it is hard to see how it is in the childs best interest to have one parent strengthened, and the other part demoralized. Why does the Columbus County Department of Social Services provide housing assistance, work assistance, medical assistance, educational assistance, financial assistance for one parent, but seek to imprison one parent who cant make financial ends meet? Best interest, yea right. If Social Services had best interest in mind, they would be strengthening BOTH parents. So why all the fuss about child support, having one parent marginalized, and jailing parents?

Lets take a look at the Social Security Act, Title IV, Part D, and pay special attention to Section 458. Notice the name of this Section? “Incentive Payments To States”

What is the Incentive? For every one dollar collected in child support, the State of NC Department of Social Services agencies get back one dollar to recover costs related to Welfare and Low Income Assistance Programs. Columbus County NC Non-Custodial Families are subsidizing Welfare. The State of NC and the Columbus County Department of Social Services has no incentive in you having equal parentage and access to your children. They prefer that you trigger this federal money that keeps jobs, services, pet programs, and Welfare afloat.

Child Support and Abuse and Bias

So how does social services make sure you STAY non-custodial, and if at all possible, lose all visitation so that you pay MORE child support, triggering MORE federal money?
Through Domestic Violence.

If you are a non-custodial family member that had the unfortunate experience of going through the courts, you likely had to face the routine allegation of Domestic Violence that now precedes all custody battles. It’s like it is instant and routine thing nowadays. Why? Because it stacks the deck in the hopeful custodial parents favor. It’s the perfect hot button, political football tactical weapon and it’s the perfect way to insure the mother wins custody. Judges know that there is a HUGE Domestic Violence lobby they want to stay in the good graces of at election time. It’s to easy to let false allegations proceed to conviction so that everyone stays happy except for non-custodial families. Who, by the way, have no national or State lobby. Plus, how are all the Columbus County Department of Social Services staff going to fund their jobs, programs, services, marketing material, shelters, etc… if there is no federal money? They NEED Domestic Offenders to exist so that they trigger federal money to justify their jobs. No doubt, Social Services knows if more and more Columbus County NC Fathers are labeled as Domestic Violence offenders, they will lose all access to their children, pay more child support, and insure that the bills at social services are payed via Title IV-D legislation. And, since they have 100% immunity for any bias, abuse, or illegal acts, and they face no lawsuits for ANYTHING they do, why not?
