Rockingham County Department of Social and Non-Custodial Fathers

NC Fathers invites the Director, Staff, and Supervisors at the Rockingham County Department of Social Services to click on the red and blue graphic below to see a list of issues we have compiled that we think Rockingham County NC non-custodial families identify with. It is these issues that are driving non-custodial families to our organization and you need to stop generating money for Welfare, Low Income Programs, and your jobs using the Title IV-D system. Rockingham County NC children receive far greater resources and opportunities when they have two equalized parents, and the love and support that come from both sets of extended families. Our organization is asking that you stop lying and telling the media and politicians that this is about children. Your organization is about generating money that justifies your jobs, programs, and political maneuvers.

Rockingham County Child Support Enforcement and Domestic Violence

Rockingham County Department of Social Services, Child Support Enforcement, Domestic Violence, and NC Non-Custodial Families

For every non-custodial parent in Rockingham County NC who pays $500 in child support, he/she is triggering $500 a month for the Rockingham County Department of Social Services who then use that money to replenish Low Income Assistance Programs. The thinking here is that after a divorce, many women and children are forced into these programs because of bad fathers and they should be paying for it. The problem with this thinking is that divorce happens because of women just as frequently, and not all women and children end up on Welfare. But ALL non-custodial fathers pay into this system. It has become an industry much like Family Court Lawyers have going on.

Obviously, our concern is that the Federal Government, via Child Support Enforcement, and the State of NC has developed a plan to pay for low income programs by DENYING fathers the ability to have equal parentage and access to their children. Look at the NC DHHS website regarding the History of Child Support Enforcement and NC Department of Social Services agencies, it states:

“In 1975, Title IV-D was added to the Social Security Act to establish a nationwide Child Support Enforcement (CSE) program, with the purpose of recouping money paid out to welfare recipients when at least one parent was absent from the home and did not provide support”.

When at least one parent was absent is the key. What about when it is forced absence via the NC Family Courts and the Rockingham County Department of Social Services gets money from it?

What is the custodial mother does not go on Welfare because she has a career? Why are the non-custodial fathers in these cases triggering Welfare money for NC Social Services?

We are going to be blunt, the reason that Rockingham County NC non-custodial fathers, step-mothers, paternal grandparents, and paternal aunts and uncles are not ALLOWED to have equal parentage and access to their children is to feed this system, and we believe that politically minded Judges and Politicians allow it.

With respect to Domestic Violence programs at the Rockingham County Department of Social Services, we are going to be equally blunt. NC Social Services has many ties to Domestic Violence Shelters, Counselors, Staff, and Jobs and federal and state money is directly responsible in keeping these programs and jobs functional. Our organization does not believe that Social Services wants to end Domestic Violence, because it would mean an end to the federal money they derive from it. NC Social Services needs GREATER statistics to keep getting federal money, and many times we suspect that social services turns benign cases of family conflict into domestic violence to feed these statistics.

If you are a Rockingham County NC non-custodial family member, it is likely that the now non-custodial father in your family faced a allegation of domestic violence that is becoming routine and customary in child custody matters because it is the perfect hot button political football that ensures victory in the Family Courts for hopeful custodial mothers because Judges want to stay on the side of the domestic violence industry who give so much to political aspirations. These false allegations of Domestic Violence are ruining the non-custodial father/step-mother/paternal grandmother/paternal aunt and child relationship each and every day, and nobody at the Rockingham County Department of Social Services cares because these false allegations usually end up as convictions that they use as greater statistics to get federal money for their jobs. AND, because all social services agencies have 100% immunity, they know there is no chance of being sued when they turn their backs on this issue.

Rockingham County Department of Social Services and 4.7 Million NC Non-Custodial Family Voters

Here are some figures that the Rockingham County Department of Social Services Directors, Staff, and Supervisors can not deny; there are a LOT of non-custodial fathers, step-mothers, and other paternal family members in NC given the divorce rate and rate at which parents are conceiving children outside of wedlock. But these figures should also cause pause for NC Judges and Politicians in Raleigh as well.

Rockingham County NC non-custodial families come from every racial and ethnic background, socioeconomic background, and political party affiliation. For every non-custodial father that is marginalized, there are at least two women who get equally hurt. We estimate that in a state of 9.8 million people, 4.7 million of them have direct ties to a non-custodial family. And, each court day, in EVERY county in NC, there are SEVEN new non-custodial families created.

The MINUTE that these families unite around this issue, NC Department of Social Services agencies, Judges, and Politicians will feel the heat and reform the industry they have created for financial gain and start putting the focus on strengthening BOTH parents and extended families for the greater good of children.
